Mitchell wins in Florida
Keith Mitchell won his first PGA Tour title at the Honda Classic as he fought off a star-studded field in Florida.
The 27-year-old was well in contention heading into the final round and held his nerve when picking up birdies at four of the final seven holes to take the win.
Mitchell managed to finish on nine under, just one shot ahead of fellow Americans Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler, and could not hide his delight afterwards.
It was settled on the 18th green as Mitchell sunk a 15-foot birdie putt to pick up his first win as a pro.
"My mind started wandering there a little bit at the end and then I hit a great putt," he said. "It's not even close to sinking in. I don't expect it to, I don't want it to, this is just awesome. Playing like I did coming down the stretch is unbelievable."
Meanwhile, 56-year-old Fijian Vijay Singh missed the chance to become the oldest winner on the PGA Tour after a closing round of 70 left him in sixth place.
