Woods being 'smart' with schedule and management
Tiger Woods remains unsure it he will be fully fit for the FedEx Cup playoffs as he continues to manage his long-standing back issues.
Woods stopped hitting full shots in the second half of his round on Wednesday at The Northern Trust.
The 15-time major winner indicated the move was precautionary, rather than a symptom of anything more serious, and says he is managing his fitness on a day-to-day basis.
"[I'm] just feeling stiff, being smart about it," said Woods. "As I said to you guys [the media] all year, this is how it is. Some days I'm stiffer than others. Yesterday I was out there hitting it great. Today I'm stiff. Hopefully, I'm not that way tomorrow."
