Have Trust In Mullineaux Six-Year-Old
Quick Returner Has Conditions Right To Win A Few Bob
Cheshire trainer Michael Mullineaux sends his DODGY BOB down to Kempton today for the Rasher Frith Memorial Handicap and the gelding must have an outstanding chance of getting gold. He has fallen in the weights since being transferred to Mullineaux in the Spring of 2017 when he was racing off a mark of 68, and goes off 48 today with Phil Dennis taking off another three. The gelding is on a long losing run but has been performing well of late, just going down by a nose on Wednesday to Indian Affair. That was in a Class 5 and today's event is two grades lower, plus the son of Royal Applause gets half a dozen positives, especially his 146% better than expected return when going right-handed and his trainer's more than respectable nine from 52 with horses returning to the track within seven days. DALNESS EXPRESS and DEERSONG are top on bare ratings but have a good few negatives between them and STAR ATTRACTION has plenty of ticks, ran wide here on her last outing after a break, and looks interesting at Marathon's 12/1. At general odds of 3/1, though, Bob could be our favourite uncle.
