Plenty Of Appeal At Newcastle

Repeat Success On The Cards For Barron Seven Year Old

Yorkshire trainer David Barron is going well at the moment with two wins in the last fortnight from just half a dozen runners and he has a last time out winner, TWIN APPEAL, going in the sunbets.co.uk Handicap over seven furlongs today. Typical of his type, the gelding is difficult to catch right but has a lot going for him this afternoon. His latest win came at Wolverhampton over this specialist seven furlong trip and built on the promise of his previous start at the same track after a summer campaign on turf. Those runs were off marks of 81 and 83 and he is running off 86 today; he did win off 89 last April so might have some scope from a handicapping perspective. BTOPlus+ rates him top on regular and speed figures and best in five of twelve categories. He also gets eight positives and the only downside is that he gets a BTO negative for going left handed though he has actually won here at Newcastle (left handed) when it was a turf track. HEAVEN'S GUEST and DRAGON MALL have a lot going for them according to BTO but Bet365's 7/2 about Twin Appeal looks reasonable.
