Second win on the cards for Migration
Improver to benefit from De Sousa booking
David Menuisier's yard are in fine form in recent weeks, running at a strike-rate of 22% and they have solid claims of improving that percentage with a three-year-old colt at Sandown this evening.
Migration has found life tough in two very valuable handicaps in recent starts but a drop down in class this evening looks sure to help in a small field event.
The son of Alhebayeb was unlucky not to win over course and distance earlier in the season when runner-up to a smart prospect from Richard Hannon's yard, compromising his chance with a slow start leaving the stalls.
However, he gained compensation in fine style next time out on the July course at Newmarket and the handicapper has given him a drop of 2lb in the weights that should see him get competitive again now back in calmer waters.
With Silvestre De Sousa taking over for the first time, a jockey who rides this course particularly well, Migration would appear to have a favourite's chance and he would appear to be the value bet, available to back at 4/1.
