Sprinter Ready To Strike Again
Filly Ticks Lots Of Boxes At Lingfield
In her two-year-old days last season, the Clive Cox trained filly LITTLE MISS LILLY had four contests over six furlongs without showing a great deal of promise and was then raced over seven three times without much improvement. Put back to five furlongs at Kempton in October, she promptly bolted in from previous winner Broughton Excels, and two further attempts at the minimum strongly suggest that the trip is her optimum. The usual visor is discarded today, which is a worry, but it is expected that she will try to make all under regular partner Amelia Glass and hang on for a win, probably at the expense of veteran and eight times course winner TEMPLE ROAD. BTOPlus+ puts the daughter of Lethal Force top on its regular ratings and gives her five nice positives, including the liking for Polytrack by the progeny of her sire which is 24% better than expected; those offspring also go well at the minimum distance, showing a 21% win rate. Temple Road also has a lot going for him in addition to his course record and is best on speed ratings, whilst FAREEQ has the jockey with the best course stats, Richard Kingscote, on board and is being backed. Lilly's widely available 11/4 looks interesting.
