Three-Year-Old Ready To Break Duck At Wolverhampton

4th March 2019, 10:11 by Gerard Lees

Long standing maiden of interest on this evening's all-weather card.

The Tony Carroll trained SECOND COLLECTION has had nine goes at winning and normally wouldn't be a candidate for an investment but looks just that this evening. She last ran at Lingfield a month ago when mugged on the line at Lingfield by With Caution over today's distance of six furlongs.

Significantly, that filly has come out again since, and won easily here at Wolverhampton, so the form stacks up. Prior to that, she had competed in five handicaps and looked like getting her head in front at the finish over this course and distance but couldn't quite catch Deconso, who, again, has been victorious since. The daughter of Delegator is rated best on BTO regular figures and third on speed figures.

SUNDIATA is a clear second best on BTO stats and form but gets a couple of negatives under Sire Stats and at 4/1, Second Collection is edging towards an each-way bet to nothing.
