Tizzard Juvenile Ready To Make Her Mark Again

3rd December 2018, 09:35 by Gerard Lees

Ground Not A Problem For Filly

After a relatively dry Autumn, some courses are now reporting ground with a more familiar wintry character and Plumpton is soft today with some rain forecast. Colin Tizzard's EMPREINTE RECONCE goes for the novices' hurdle over two miles and her easy victory in a bumper on the heavy at Lignieres in France in the Spring of 2017 augurs well. She has raced three times since for Tizzard, coming home first in a novice hurdle at Newton Abbot from previous runner-up and subsequent hat-trick achiever Passing Call and next-time-out winner Admiral's Secret, before running sixth to Posh Trish at Chepstow, beaten 21 lengths. That looks a little disappointing but was a top fillies' and mares' hurdle, with the winner coming home first in a Listed race at Newbury on Saturday. Aidan Coleman’s mount is top on BTOPlus+ regular ratings and gets 10 positives, including her trainer's eight from 45 success rate in the last fortnight and the success of the progeny of her sire Voix Du Nord over the distance and on the going This is collectively around 15% better than expected. Suzy Smith's ROSY WORLD is a clear second best on BTO stats and information but at a general 5/2 Empreinte looks worth a bet.
