Chaser Set To Resume Winning Ways After Promising Cheltenham Effort
The King's Theatre seven-year-old mare SISTER SIBYL has been at Hughie Morrison's East Ilsley stable since her winning bumper debut in December, 2018, and has proven a model of consistency. She has raced 14 times in total with five wins and as many placed efforts and always gives of her best. She has graduated from National Hunt flat races to hurdles and then chases and has won twice from eight attempts at the latter. The mare had a break from the track after winning at Warwick in May and returned with a good effort at Cheltenham in a Class 2 last month when second to Diakali, beaten nine lengths. That was over two miles and she was staying on at the end after being hampered so today's extra half mile will suit her admirably - as her May win over the distance testifies. She runs off the same mark of 127 today. She is second to TOMMY SILVER on regular ratings and third on speed and gets half a dozen nice positives. These include her preference for going right-handed which is 152% better than expected and the near 20%win rate at Kempton for the progeny of King's Theatre. Tommy Silver and ROLL THE DOUGH have a raft of positives between them but the mare looks primed for this and at 5/2 looks a bet.
