Cheltenham options open for Frodon
Paul Nicholls says he is in no rush to decide whether or not Frodon will contest the Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival.
Frodon could enter the showpiece event but the Ryanair chase is also an option for the seven-year-old.
"I've said all along, I will decide when I've looked at the races, see what the ground is," trainer Nicholls is quoted as saying by The Guardian. "If the Ryanair cuts up and I think we can win it, that's where we'll run him.
"If that race is very, very hot and the Gold Cup cut up a little bit and we thought he could run well, we could go in that. With any of these horses, if you’ve got options, you wait till the last minute."
Frodon finished fifth in the Ryanair last year but has three wins in four races this season, with his most recent success coming in a Grade Two at Cheltenham in January.
