Limerick ready for action
Limerick general manager Patrick O'Callaghan has no worries about their Christmas festival going ahead despite the heavy ground.
Three meetings in the past have fallen foul of the weather but organisers at the course are convinced they will have no problems for the four day-festival which starts on Boxing Day.
The going at the Munster venue is heavy at the moment but with a dry week forecast O'Callaghan is confident they will have no problems.
"I've no worries whatsoever about issues similar to previous years with ground," said O'Callaghan. "With this dry week ahead we feel we're in a very good position at the moment.
"The ground is heavy but it's nothing like bottomless. Hopefully with a few nice days over the coming week, which appears to be forecast with no showers until Christmas Eve, it should be edging further away from heavy."
