More to come from Yager - Brooke

13th January 2018, 15:01 by Bobbie Jackson

Jockey Henry Brooke insists there is more to come from Get On The Yager after his Boxing Day triumph at Wetherby.

The seven-year-old made it back-to-back victories on Tuesday following on from his triumph in the TI Engineering Crane Services Handicap Chase at Fontwell.

Brooke had to be patient with Dan Skelton’s charge but he claimed the win in a photo-finish with Wakanda and Delusionofgrandeur.

The jockey, who had to beg Skelton’s younger brother Harry for the ride, believes Yager still has a lot more to offer as they look to enjoy more success in 2018.

Brooke said: “I was begging Harry through the week for the ride. It’s great riding big winners on the big days for the big yards.

"He’s a very genuine horse and I’d say there’s more to come. Harry told me what to do and I just followed his instructions. It’s brilliant."
