England 'favourites' for Euro 2020 - De Bruyne

5th April 2019, 13:09 by Bobbie Jackson

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne believes England are among the "favourites" to go all the way at Euro 2020.

There is plenty of hype surrounding the national side after reaching the semi-finals at the 2018 World Cup before going on to secure a spot in the last four of the Nations League.

De Bruyne, who also reached the semis at the World Cup with Belgium, expects the Three Lions to continue improving ahead of Euro 2020.

He believes the emergence of highly-rated teenagers like Phil Foden, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Jadon Sancho makes them "favourites", alongside France, to challenge for honours next year.

De Bruyne said: "I told the England guys a week ago that you should win the Euros.

"I think they are favourites with France. I see the guys already established, and those coming up, so the future looks really good."
