Gracia says Three Lions should look to Deeney

Watford boss Javi Gracia says striker Troy Deeney deserves a chance in the England team after his impressive campaign.

Deeney has nine Premier League goals in 29 appearances this season and has 11 goals in total across all competitions.

The 30-year-old remains uncapped by the Three Lions, and Gracia says he deserves an opportunity to show what he could bring to the England side.

"There are good English players in that position, but in my opinion Troy is the best one," said Gracia, as reported by Sky Sports.

"He's in a very good moment now, but it's not my decision and I always try to be respectful with the national team."

England are involved in the Nations League Finals in June and will then turn their focus back to qualifying for Euro 2020 in September.
