Barca close in on Griezmann capture
Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann is reportedly closing in on a summer move to Barcelona.
The Catalans have been in discussions with France international Griezmann for well over a month now and it appears a move to the Camp Nou is on the verge of completion.
Madrid confirmed the signing of Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata on Saturday following his successful loan spell in the second half of last season, where he scored six goals from 15 La Liga appearances.
The 26-year-old's permanent arrival will now pave the way for Griezmann's exit and reports are suggesting he will be officially unveiled as a Barcelona player on July 12.
It is claimed the Spanish champions will pay the Frenchman's 120million euros release clause and he is set to earn a bumper pay packet, which will be significantly more than he earned at the Wanda Metropolitano.
During his time with Atleti, Griezmann scored 94 La Liga goals from 180 appearances.
