Trio ready for Coutinho battle
Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United and two other clubs.
Brazil international Coutinho has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular since making the switch from Liverpool in January 2018 and there are huge reports claiming he will be sold this summer.
A number of top European clubs are showing an interest in the 26-year-old's services and there is expected to be a bidding war in the upcoming transfer window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was recently given the United job on a permanent basis, is keen on adding some more attacking talent to his squad and it is believed he will be handed a huge kitty to spend this summer.
However, Premier League rivals Chelsea are also interested in a deal although a move all depends on whether the club successfully appeals the two transfer window ban they received from FIFA.
Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move as doubts creep in over the future of both Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
James Mason grew up in Northumberland so is entrenched in both the football and golf scenes. A low handicap golfer, he also follows Newcastle United and predicts big things under Rafa Benitez.
