Target to cost Real Madrid

19th April 2019, 09:57 by Nick Harris

Real Madrid will have to pay at least £95m if they are to land Tottenham star Christian Eriksen in the summer.

The Dane is the subject of some intense speculation about his future as his deal at Tottenham will have just 12 months left in the summer.

Spurs want him to sign a new deal but that is looking increasingly unlikely, although their progression to the Champions League semi-finals has helped, so they will reluctantly sell him on if that remains the case.

Zinadine Zidane is expected to oversee a major overhaul of the playing staff after a poor season by their high standards and they have long been linked with Eriksen and others, although they will face a fight with the likes of Inter Milan and Paris Saint Germain to land him.
