ZZ unsure on Bale's future with Real

8th April 2019, 10:54 by Michael Holland

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane refused to be drawn on Gareth Bale's future as the fans continue to turn on the forward.

Zidane offered no assurances on Bale's future after whistles were directed at the Welshman during their 2-1 victory over Eibar and was coy on Bale's future after the match.

He told a press conference: "We will see [whether Bale will still be at the club next season]. Gareth is a Real Madrid player with two years left on his contract."

The Frenchman, who has won three of his four matches since returning as manager, added: "We're not happy about the whistles, but the public comes to see their team do well.

"There was a reaction and I'm left with that, the public knows that the season is over, that we play to try and finish second."

Bale is reported to be high on Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's wanted list this summer, but some reports have claimed the Reds would not be willing to match his wage demands.

However there would be no shortage of interest with Bayern Munich also said to be keen.
