Bordeaux boss reveals midfielder's injury break

Talented Bordeaux midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni looks set to miss the rest of the season after breaking his leg in training.

In a press conference on Friday, new Bordeaux head coach Paulo Sousa revealed the bad break for the 19-year-old player that happened a day earlier.

"He is injured, with a broken tibia," said the Portuguese coach. "This is not luck, it happened in training."

Tchouameni had featured in 10 Ligue 1 matches for Les Girondins and nine games during their Europa League campaign.

Sousa added: "I do not think there will be an operation but it will be necessary to see with the doctor, who will say more."
