Neymar regrets leaving Barca - Report

9th April 2019, 15:00 by Neil Foster

Neymar regrets leaving Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain two years ago, according to former team-mate Adriano.

Neymar shocked the footballing world when opting to quit the Nou Camp for the Parc des Princes in the summer of 2017 for a fee close to £200m.

Despite scoring 48 goals from 53 appearances in all competitions, rumours persist that the Brazil International is unhappy in the French capital and keen to move elsewhere.

His move has not been helped by an injury-plagued couple of years in Paris, with Real Madrid thought to be keen to end his Ligue 1 stay if he became available.

Whether or not the South American goal machine does leave only time will tell, but according to Adriano the 27-year-old wishes he had not left Barca in the first place.

"I spoke with Neymar three weeks ago," he told Spanish radio show El Larguero. "Everyone who has played for Barcelona and left has regretted it and I think, for him, even more so than most."
