PSG handed Neymar return boost

4th April 2019, 10:24 by Craig Smithson

Neymar could return to action from a broken foot for Paris Saint-Germain before the end of the season after taking part in training.

The 27-year-old Brazil international has not played for Thomas Tuchel's side since suffering the injury during the 2-0 Coupe de France win against Strasbourg on January 23.

As a result Neymar missed the side's Champions League exit at the hands of Manchester United and their charge towards the Ligue 1 title.

However, he was working both with and without the ball during a training session with fitness coach Ricardo Rosa on Wednesday.

Neymar then watched his team-mates book their place in the final of the French Cup courtesy of a 3-0 win against Nantes, thanks to goals from Marco Verratti, Kylian Mbappe and Dani Alves.

PSG will face Rennes in the final on April 27 and Neymar could be involved if he does not suffer any setbacks on his return to training.
