PSG in race for Ajax star Neres

11th April 2019, 16:23 by Craig Smithson

Ajax's £40million-rated forward David Neres is being linked with a summer move to several clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian is one of several players at the Amsterdam giants to have caught the eye in Ajax's run to the Champions League quarter-finals and boosted his value with an excellent strike in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Juventus in the first leg of their last-eight tie.

PSG coach Thomas Tuchel is understood to be a long-term admirer of the 22-year-old but he will not be alone in wanting to add him to his squad when the transfer window reopens, according to the latest rumours.

Reports in France claim Borussia Dortmund and Premier League duo Everton and Liverpool are all keen on Neres, who has scored seven goals in his last eight games, alongside registering 11 assists for Ajax this season.

However, the chance to link-up with Brazilian superstar Neymar at the Parc des Princes could be too tempting to turn down.
