PSG interested in unsettled Coutinho

5th June 2019, 14:44 by Dan McCarthy

PSG are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho in the summer.

Reports suggest the Brazilian playmaker could be on his way out of the Nou Camp this summer after failing to live up to expectations.

He was signed for £142million from Liverpool in January last year but has not been able to replicate his form from Anfield and some fans have turned against him, meaning a move away may be more likely.

He scored only five goals and registered two assists in 34 La Liga matches but reports state PSG are willing to offer the 26-year-old an escape route from Spain.

With the futures of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe up in the air, PSG will need reinforcement if those two are to depart the club.

Coutinho is thought to favour a move to the Parc des Pricnes to link up with his international teammates in Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, and Neymar and the club also have a good relationship with his agent Kia Joorabchian.
