Tuchel unhappy as PSG crash

18th April 2019, 09:29 by Michael Holland

Paris Saint-Germain deserved to lose as they blew another chance to wrap up the Ligue 1 title against Nantes, Thomas Tuchel says.

The Parisians slipped to a 3-2 defeat and although they remain 17 points clear at the top of the table, the result has not gone down well among the PSG fans.

The defeat comes on the back of a 5-1 humiliation against Lille at the weekend and boss Tuchel was far from happy with the response of his players.

"It's an easy analysis: we played badly for 90 minutes and deserved to lose," he said. "In a situation like ours, we can lose. But we can't lose like that, that's not possible."

Reports are now claiming that the pressure is mounting on Tuchel despite the fact PSG have dominated Ligue 1 once again.

Their exit from the Champions League against Manchester United would appear to have had a knock-on effect and it would come as no surprise if Tuchel was shown the door.
