Striker Charlie Wyke banned for Bradford

13th March 2018, 16:28

Bradford will be without suspended striker Charlie Wyke for their home game against Wigan.

Wyke was shown a straight red card in the Bantams' defeat at Plymouth at the end of last month and has yet to start his three-game ban.

Boss Simon Grayson could recall long-term absentees Alex Jones (ankle) andOmari Patrick (knee) to the squad for his first home game in charge.

City, whohave not played a match at Valley Parade since February 10 due to other teams' involvement in the FA Cup and bad weather, are still withoutJake Reeves (groin) and Ryan McGowan (knee).

Wigan boss Paul Cook has no new injuries and a full-strength squad to choose from.

Latics face Southampton in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday, but Cook confirmed he will be fielding his strongest side.

Experienced trio Alex Bruce, Gary Roberts and James Vaughan are pushing for recalls to the starting line-up.

Wigan are in third place, eight points behind leaders Blackburn with four games in hand.
