Clarke returns to Bury on loan

13th January 2018, 15:01 by

Bury have brought Peter Clarke back to the club on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The defender's first spell with the Shakers began in June 2015 and he went on to make 50 appearances before moving to Oldham.

Clarke has now left Boundary Park to link up with Bury once again, much to the delight of manager Chris Lucketti.

"Peter Clarke is up there with the best characters," Lucketti told the club's official website. "I know his affiliation with the club from his previous time here - I played with him at Huddersfield in the past.

"I know all about him, he's a real man, he's a leader and I'm delighted to have brought him to the club."

The signing follows that of Sheffield United striker James Hanson earlier on Wednesday.
