Bournemouth v Brighton & Hove Albion

4th January 2019, 11:54 by Warren Ashurst

Eddie Howe has confirmed he will make changes to his Bournemouth side for Saturday's FA Cup game against Brighton.

The all-Premier League tie takes place at the Vitality Stadium just two weeks after their league meeting, which finished in a 2-0 win for Howe's men.

Howe hasn't given much away in terms of team news ahead of the third-round clash, but there "will be changes to the team" but that people will have to "wait and see" just how many.

Having been on the bench for the midweek draw with Watford, the likes of Jordan Ibe, Sergio Rico and Andrew Surman are likely to start, while Simon Francis and Lewis Cook are missing through injury.

Meanwhile, Brighton midfielder Bernardo will undergo a late fitness test to see if he can feature after limping out of Wednesday's draw with West Ham due to a hamstring injury.

The Seagulls are missing Maty Ryan and Alireza Jahanbakhsh, who are on international duty at the Asian Cup, while Jose Izquierdo is still not fit to return after a knee injury.

Bournemouth's win prior to Christmas extended their unbeaten run over Brighton to 10 matches, while the Cherries have scored 12 goals in their last six meetings with the Seagulls.
