Bristol City v Huddersfield Town

4th January 2019, 16:10 by Warren Ashurst

David Wagner has admitted he will use "fresh players" for Huddersfield's FA Cup trip to Championship side Bristol City on Saturday.

With the Terriers bottom of the table and their Premier League survival in serious doubt, Wagner is expected to make several changes from the side which lost to Burnley in midweek.

The German "will change and rotate" and has confirmed that Ben Hamer will start in goal at Ashton Gate, but the game will come too soon for midfielder Aaron Mooy.

The Australian has been sidelined since the start of December with a knee injury and although he is back running, it is still thought it will be February when he returns to action.

Christopher Schindler is the only fit player to miss out, with the defender suspended after his sending off against Burnley.

Bristol City will be eyeing an upset, especially as they head into the match on an eight-game unbeaten run, which has moved them into the top half of the Championship table.

The hosts have been boosted by the news that Adam Webster is available. The defender suffered a cut to the head during the Robins' midweek win at Stoke although he has been passed fit to feature.

The last time the two sides met was during the 2016-17 Championship campaign and Bristol City ran out 4-0 victors, while the last two meetings at Ashton Gate have finished 4-0 to City.
