Cardiff City v Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham will be looking to bounce back from defeat last time out when they visit Cardiff in the Premier League on New Year's Day.
Spurs' fledgling title challenge was seemingly stopped in its tracks as they were beaten 3-1 by Wolves at Wembley on Saturday, with that result bringing their five-match winning run in the top flight to an abrupt end.
The defeat also leaves Mauricio Pochettino's side third in the standings and they are now a full nine points behind leaders Liverpool.
The North Londoners do boast an impressive recent record against Cardiff, however, as they have won the last four league meetings between the two sides, with each of the last three finishing 1-0, including the meeting at Wembley earlier this season.
Eric Dier scored the winning goal that day, but he is one of a number of players that remain unavailable for Spurs, with Victor Wanyama, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Erik Lamela also on the treatment table.
Serge Aurier is expected to return, however, as he has recovered from a groin problem.
Cardiff appear to be adapting to life in the Premier League following a tough start to the season, with Saturday's win at Leicester, their first away success of the campaign, lifting them to 16th in the standings and three points clear of the relegation zone.
However, the Bluebirds have failed to score in any of their last six meetings with Spurs and forward Kenneth Zohore remains sidelined with a thigh problem, although Joe Bennett and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing could both come back into contention.
