Crystal Palace v Manchester City

12th April 2019, 17:27 by Jack Ogalbe

Manchester City will aim to make it nine Premier League wins in a row when they travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

A victory at Selhurst Park would see the Citizens go top due to Liverpool playing in the late game, but they face the only side to have beaten them at home this season in domestic competition.

December's 3-2 victory was one of the highlights of another up-and-down season for the Eagles, who while realistically safe are already looking towards the summer due to their mounting injury woes.

It is at the back where Palace are short, with James Tomkins' groin issue ending his season, and with Mamadou Sakho also sidelined, Roy Hodgson is likely to partner Martin Kelly and Scott Dann at the back.

Defensive issues are also haunting City but Benjamin Mendy could provide an option at left-back after his recent return to fitness.

With their Champions League quarter-final, second leg against Spurs next Wednesday, Pep Guardiola may shuffle his pack. Gabriel Jesus could come in for Sergio Aguero, while Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sane are also pushing for starts.

City have scored at least twice in their last eight games against Palace and will hope to continue that run as they aim to battle past Hodgson's plucky side.
