Arsenal target Dembele unlikely to leave Barca
Barcelona have made it clear they are not ready to cash in on Ousmane Dembele amid reports of a bid from Arsenal.
The France international has found it tough to settle at the Nou Camp since his big-money transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 and that has led to reports that the forward is looking for a move away.
It is understood Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old's situation and are believed to have tabled an offer to take him on loan in January with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.
Liverpool have also been mentioned in connection with Dembele but Pep Segura, Barcelona’s general manager, has now made it clear that the club are not ready to cut ties with the forward just yet.
"There is no problem with Dembele. He is very young and has never had to make an effort like the one he is doing now to adapt to Barca’s game," Segura told SER radio.
"We recognise that it is hard for him and he also recognises it, but we’re working to change this situation as quickly as possible.
"Yes, we had a meeting, just like I met with three other representatives, but it’s normal, it’s part of my job, they’re natural things."
