Barca star linked with Gunners

19th November 2018, 01:42 by Michael Holland

Arsenal are keen on Barcelona star Denis Suarez and are ready to rescue him from his Nou Camp nightmare, reports have claimed.

The 24-year-old has struggled to make an impact since arriving from Villarreal last year and is keen to move on in search of first-team football after slipping well down the pecking order.

Barca have been struggling with one or two injuries in midfield recently, but Suarez still failed to get minutes, which is a clear indication he no longer figures in the plans of Ernesto Valverde.

The Catalan giants have given him the green light to go in search of another club, and he hopes to get fixed up when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Suarez will not be short of options and according to the latest reports, Arsenal will be one of them as Unai Emery looks to bolster his midfield.

With Aaron Ramsey heading for the exit door, Suarez could be seen as the ideal replacement, and it is claimed he would fit in perfectly with Emery's style of play.
