Bayern close in on Ramsey
Arsenal's hopes of persuading Aaron Ramsey to stay at the club appear to be over with Bayern Munich closing in.
Arsenal had wanted Ramsey to sign a new deal at the club, so he would not be able to walk away for nothing next summer, but that is not now going to happen.
Ramsey has been the subject of much speculation with a host of clubs across Europe looking to sign him and both Liverpool and Chelsea were said to be keen but he looks to be bound for Germany.
The Gunners had hoped they could persuade him to sign a new deal at the club but that is a forlorn hope and officials at the Allianz Arena are said to be confident that they will land their man.
