Funds tight for Gunners boss
Arsenal boss Unai Emery will reportedly only have £45million to strengthen his squad in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners boss is said to want three new signings, but will have to do it on a budget, according to the reports, unless he can boost funds by moving on the likes of Mesut Ozil at the end of the season.
Emery was told he could only sign players on loan during the January transfer window, with Denis Suarez arriving from Barcelona, and if the latest reports are to be believed, it will be a tight budget again come the summer.
Room will be made on the wage bill with Aaron Ramsey set to move on, and Danny Welbeck likely to follow, while Petr Cech is also heading for retirement.
Rumours have been rife for some time that Emery is keen to move on Ozil, who not so long ago penned a new deal worth a bumper £350,000 a week, but selling him could be easier said than done.
It has also been suggested that Emery will now step up his interest in Paris Saint-Germain star Adrien Rabiot, who has yet to sign a new deal and will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Competition for his services will be hot with Barcelona leading the way, but it looks as though the Gunners will make an approach of their own.
