Gunners complete swoop for Suarez
Arsenal have completed the signing of winger Denis Suarez on loan from Barcelona for the rest of the season.
The Spain international has been a target for the Gunners throughout the January transfer window and the deal has now been concluded.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery knows Suarez well - he managed him during their time together at Sevilla - and the former Paris Saint-Germain boss is delighted to have wrapped up the deal for a player he expects to provide versatility to the Gunners' forward line.
"We are very happy that Denis Suarez is joining us," Emery was quoted as saying on the club website. "He is a player we know well and I have worked with him at Sevilla. He brings us quality and options in many different attacking positions, so he’ll be able to help the team."
Suarez will wear the number 22 shirt during his time at the Emirates Stadium and it is not yet clear whether or not Arsenal have an option to buy him on a permanent basis in the summer.
The 25-year-old could make his Arsenal debut in Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
