Gunners have midfield options
Arsenal have not given up hope of landing Denis Suarez but Christopher Nkunku is also a contender as well.
The 21-year-old midfielder at PSG played under Unai Emery when he was in charge in Paris but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by under Emery’s successor Thomas Tuchel.
That has led to talk of a possible loan move and the Gunners are ready to try and take him if they fail in landing number one target Suarez from Barcelona.
It was reported last week that talks with the Catalans had broken down although that is apparently not the case, but they are at loggerheads.
Arsenal are refusing to commit to a permanent purchase until Suarez has proven himself on loan for the remainder of the season, while Barca want a signed agreement that they will pay £20million at the end of the loan deal.
If the two clubs cannot come to a mutual agreement, the deal will be off and Arsenal may well turn to Nkunku instead.
