Gunners hoping to secure Perisic deal
Arsenal have made a move to sign Croatia international Ivan Perisic and are in early talks to sign the winger from Inter Milan.
The 29-year-old has emerged as a January transfer target for the Gunners and the Premier League giants are hoping to sign him on loan before Thursday night's deadline with a view to a permanent £35million summer deal.
The former Borussia Dortmund, Club Brugge and Wolfsburg man only signed a new five-year contract at Inter in September 2017 to tie him to the Italians until 2022 but the World Cup star's head will likely be turned by interest from the Londoners.
Perisic, who has 34 goals in 143 appearances for Inter, is wanted by boss Unai Emery to add to his midfield options but he's previously said the club are only willing to make loan signings in the winter window.
Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez and Christopher Nkunku of Paris Saint-German are other midfielders who have been linked with the Gunners of late, while it's also believed Emery could try and sign a defender on a temporary basis following injuries to Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis Papadopoulos in recent weeks.
