Suarez in line for full debut
Arsenal loanee Denis Suarez has made a slow start to life in England but Unai Emery could name him in the starting XI on Wednesday.
The midfielder joined on-loan from Barcelona in January and Arsenal have the option to make his switch permanent for £20million in the summer.
But Arsenal fans are yet to see too much of the 25-year-old, who previously worked under Emery at Sevilla, having been held back by the boss.
He’s earned just 66 minutes of football since making the move but an injury to Alex Iwobi could see him win a first start in Wednesday’s clash with Bournemouth, although Emery admits he is unlikely to finish the game.
“I am very demanding of myself to find the best performance with the players,” Emery said.
“I think Denis Suarez is improving first with the adaptation every day and then his quality can give us a lot.
“I think it’s not OK today to play 90 minutes because he needs rhythm, but one possibility is to start tomorrow knowing that. Or, stay on the bench and after he can help us.”
