Australia call on Holmes for qualifiers
Cherries keeper Jordan Holmes, who is currently on loan at St Mirren, has been named in Australia's Under-23 squad.
Socceroos head coach Graham Arnold has named a preliminary 24-man squad for Australia's upcoming 2020 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers against Cambodia, Taiwan and South Korea.
Holmes will travel for a week-long camp in Kuala Lumpur later this month, which will include warm-up fixtures against Petaling Jaya City FC and a Malaysian U22 outfit, before then traveling on to Phnom Penh for Group H games against Cambodia on 22 March, Taiwan on 24 March and South Korea on 26 March.
Australia are bidding to qualify for the 2020 AFC U23 Championships, which will then serve as the qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Holmes, 21, has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Buddies since moving to Scotland in January, but he has been named on the bench nine times.
