Bournemouth ready to sell Defoe
Bournemouth are reportedly open to offers for striker Jermain Defoe this month.
The 36-year-old joined the Cherries in 2017 from Sunderland but after having to bide his time in his first season, has found opportunities even harder to come by this term, with his only starts coming in the Carabao Cup.
Boss Eddie Howe has recently praised Defoe's professionalism and hailed the positive impact he has had on the dressing room.
However, as the end of his career looms, the former England striker is reportedly keen on playing regular football and a switch to Crystal Palace has been mentioned, while Championship side Sheffield United are also thought to be keen.
It is thought Defoe would consider a move down the divisions, despite having played the majority of his career in the top flight with West Ham, Tottenham, Portsmouth and Sunderland.
The Beckton-born star previously earned 57 caps for England, scoring 20 goals and travelling to both the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012.
Jack Ogalbe has been working for the team since his student days, having enjoyed a successful placement. He is an avid West Ham fan but also enjoys writing on rugby union, golf, tennis and cycling.
