Cherries midfielder joins Weymouth

11th February 2019, 17:18 by Simon Barlow

Cherries starlet Luke Nippard joined Weymouth on a youth loan deal on Saturday and made his debut in their 4-4 draw at Met Police.

The 18-year-old central midfielder, who has previously appeared for Poole Town, was only announced as a Weymouth signing on Saturday morning.

But he went straight into the squad for the Terras' Southern Premier South clash against Met Police later in the day.

Nippard emerged off the bench in the second half of the eight-goal thriller at Imber Court which leaves Weymouth sitting third in the table, one place above Met Police.
