Cherries missing key duo for Liverpool clash
Callum Wilson and David Brooks have been ruled out of Bournemouth's Premier League clash at Liverpool on Saturday.
Wilson and Brooks have been integral for the Cherries this season but boss Eddie Howe has confirmed they are expected to remain sidelined for the next month due to knee and ankle injuries respectively.
"Callum Wilson and David Brooks are still out, possibly out for around four weeks now," he said at a press conference on Friday morning.
Howe also confirmed Colombia international Jefferson Lerma, who has been a key first-team member since arriving from Levante last summer, will be handed a late fitness test after recently overcoming an ankle problem.
"We are waiting on a fitness test for Jefferson Lerma as well," Howe added.
After losing 2-0 to Cardiff City last time out, Howe may decide to make changes, with the likes of Diego Rico, Jordon Ibe and Lys Mousset pushing for starts.
James Mason grew up in Northumberland so is entrenched in both the football and golf scenes. A low handicap golfer, he also follows Newcastle United and predicts big things under Rafa Benitez.
