Cherries set £50m striker price
Bournemouth have slapped a £50million price tag on the head of Callum Wilson as Chelsea continue to be linked, reports say.
Chelsea have been tracking the Cherries star for some time as they look to draft in a new striker, and reports are rife they could make a move during this latest window.
Alvaro Morata continues to be hit and miss for the Blues and with Olivier Giroud their only other out-and-out striker, a new frontman is needed, with Wilson high on the list.
It had been suggested that Bournemouth could be willing to sell after landing Dominic Solanke from Liverpool in a £19million deal, but that is not the case.
They are still keen to keep hold of Wilson and it will take an offer of at least £50million to tempt them into selling, while it has even been claimed in some quarters that £70million will be demanded.
Such a fee is sure to scare off Chelsea, who will also be weighing up other options.
