Injury concern for boss

11th February 2019, 11:14 by Nick Harris

Eddie Howe is anxiously awaiting the outcome of a scan on Bournemouth winger Junior Stanislas's thigh injury.

The wideman, who missed most of the last campaign with injury problems, picked up the setback in training on Friday and missed the defeat to Liverpool on Saturday.

With an already extensive injury list at the club due to the absences of Lewis Cook, Callum Wilson, Simon Francis and David Brooks, the last thing the side need is another problem.

Howe is awaiting the outcome of a scan and said: "It's a thigh problem. We're not sure how serious it is. He just felt it in training."

Bournemouth are not in action for a couple of weeks when the host Wolves, due to the FA Cup, so it gives the injured players a little longer to recover.
