Cook return can inspire us - Brooks
Bournemouth star David Brooks claims the whole squad is delighted by Steve Cook's return after a two-month lay off.
The centre-back missed seven games in total due to a complicated groin injury and Eddie Howe's side struggled as a result.
Cook was left in hospital after an injection got infected and that left Howe light of centre-backs.
Bournemouth only won one of the seven matches he missed but Cook was back in the fold for last weekend's 5-0 success over Brighton.
The Cherries are back in action against Fulham this weekend and Brooks admits Cook's return is such a relief for the rest of the squad.
He told the Daily Echo: "I think Steve Cook has been a massive miss. Meps (Chris Mepham) and Nath (Nathan Ake) have been fantastic, but I think Cookie is a natural born leader.
"It was nice to have him back on the grass and even in training throughout the week he's a great leader and a great voice to have around the dressing room."
