Howe tips new signing to shine
Bournemouth new signing Chris Mepham will progress into a top defender, according to boss Eddie Howe.
The 21-year-old completed his £12m move from Brentford this week and Howe is looking forward to taking his game to the next level.
Howe, who is regarded as one of the best coaches in the game, is excited and feels Mepham is in the right place to progress his career.
He told Bournemouth TV: “We’re very excited about the opportunity to work with him. He’s a fantastic age with a lot of potential to be an outstanding player for us.
“We’re looking forward to developing and nurturing that potential, giving him the platform to progress his career here.
“There’s so much to like about Chris and, for that reason, we’ve taken a great interest in his career to this point.”
