Howe to make late call on starlet
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has refused to confirm if winger David Brooks will be fit to start on Saturday against Manchester City.
Brooks had been struggling with an ankle injury but Howe feels the former Sheffield United star is ready for action but would not commit to the youngster starting against the Premier League champions.
He told reporters: "David Brooks to start? He's fit enough to be involved and the injury is fine, but we need him to be right at it. Again, we'll assess him ahead of the game and make a late decision."
Howe also revealed striker Callum Wilson has been making good progress in his recovery and could feature against City.
However, the likes of Steve Cook, Junior Stanislas and Dominic Solanke are all set to miss out, while club captain Simon Francis and midfielder Lewis Cook (both knee injuries) remain long-term absentees for the south coast outfit.
