Leeds stars linked with Cherries

18th April 2019, 07:30 by Michael Holland

Bournemouth are targeting a double swoop on Leeds United, with Kalvin Phillips and Jack Clarke the reported targets.

The talented youngsters have caught the eye with their performances as Leeds have mounted a push for promotion to the Premier League this season.

Reports are rife suggesting that Cherries boss Eddie Howe would like to get them on board although much depends on what happens between now and the end of the season.

The Yorkshire outfit are in with a good shout of winning automatic promotion to the top flight and will at the very least be in the end-of-season play-offs.

Should they go up, Bournemouth's chances of doing a double deal will be slim but they could be in with a chance if Leeds miss out.

Bournemouth will not be the only interested party and they would have to fight off strong interest from rival clubs including Southampton.

Reports in the press have claimed that Bournemouth would be willing to pay a combined fee of £25million for both players.
