New boy settling in well - Howe
Eddie Howe says he is delighted new signing Chris Mepham has settled into the Bournemouth squad so easily.
The £12m signing from Brentford came on last week in the 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea to make his Premier League debut having joined the club in January.
Mepham got the inside scoop on life at the Cherries from Wales international team mate David Brooks and he consulted Brooks ahead of his switch to the club, a move Howe thinks will have helped him.
Howe told the Echo: "Chris has settled in very well. He knows David Brooks and I think it’s helped having that relationship.
“That person you know can just make you feel at home a little bit quicker.
“He has trained very well and showed a great attitude – I never felt that was in question.
“He can be very pleased with his start.”
