Reds keeper on Cherries radar

26th April 2019, 07:04 by Michael Holland

Liverpool's Simon Mignolet is the latest goalkeeper to be linked with a switch to Bournemouth this summer.

It has become clear that a new goalkeeper is high on the wanted list of Eddie Howe, who is said to have identified Stoke City ace Jack Butland as his number one target.

AS Roma's Robin Olsen, Galatasaray keeper Fernando Muslera and Burnley's Nick Pope have also been linked but Mignolet has also emerged as an option.

The Belgium international is the current deputy to Alisson Becker but has little chance of dislodging the Brazilian and is keen to move on in search of regular first-team football.

There is a good chance he would get it with Bournemouth and would no doubt be interested in a move to the south coast if the Cherries did step up their interest.

Liverpool would also be happy to cash in and are said to have identified Sampdoria's Emil Audero as his replacement.
